“I thought the show was absolutely marvelous. All the more powerful with your extraordinary pianist as the orchestra. Man he SOITENLY has that full, take-no-prisoners style down pat. But the main attraction was you, my dear. WHAT a singer! Chops for days as they say but not only that – your acting skills enabled us to do that sometimes elusive thing as an audience for a show in which the artist impersonates. We loved the “honoree” and we delighted in discovering the talents and personality of the performer at the same time. Are you getting that I had a good time? One of the best in recent memory. Of course I LOVE that period so much. You made me believe that Sophie actually did feel as if it all depended on us. And Ian’s script and song choice couldn’t have been better. Just the right balance.”
